On behalf of the men and women of the Dickinson Police Department, I am pleased to welcome you to our website.  Our continuing goal is to make the city of Dickinson a safe place in which to live, work and play.  We are committed to maintaining and improving the quality of life of the city during this time of rapid growth, by actively partnering with community members and being innovative in our policing strategies.

We are proud to serve the residents of Dickinson in many ways.  Our Department is responsible for helping to prevent crime, patrolling neighborhoods, responding to calls for service, investigating crimes, arresting offenders and working closely with the community to identify and solve neighborhood problems.  We also provide educational and outreach programs to assist the residents and youth of our community.  Our ongoing commitment is to continue to provide the highest quality, professional, and courteous service to our community.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the citizens of Dickinson for their continued support.  By working together, we will continue to preserve the quality of life that our community deserves.

We've been given a heads up that an advertising company, Advertising To Go, has been actively making telephone contacts with area businesses to solicit sales for advertising magnets. Though the company is legitimate, we've learned that they are falsely using the Dickinson Police Department and some administrative staff as a reference when soliciting business. The DPD does not support, sponsor, or recommend this company, nor do we receive any benefit from the sales of advertisement related to their magnets.
