Knight for a Princess

Dickinson Police Association to hold 7th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance. The Dickinson Police Association has announced the date for this year’s “Knight forĀ a Princess” Daddy-Daughter Dance. It will be held on two different nights; Friday, April 17th and Saturday, April 18th from 6PM-9PM at the Astoria Hotel. ****PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR BOTH NIGHTS**** Registration forms are available by clicking the image below, on our Facebook page, or by picking up one from the Law Enforcement Center. Entry fees are $60 per couple, plus $30 per additional child. This includes dinner, flowers, 5×7 photos, and the dance. Check can be made payable to the Dickinson Police Association, and payment is due in full at the time of submitting the registration. All mail registration must be postmarked no later than April 1st, 2015. This will be the seventh annual DPA Daddy-Daughter Dance. It is an annual fundraiser for the Police Association. New Public Safety Center

Planning and design continue on the new Dickinson Public Safety Center in north Dickinson. The City of Dickinson is moving forward with its plans to construct a new Public Safety Center, which will be the new home of the Dickinson Police Department and the Dickinson Fire Department. Both entities have outgrown their current space and are in need of expansion. Schutz Foss Architects, who have been selected by the city for the initial design, have recently released the initial exterior concept art of the building, which will be located on the northwest corner of State AVE and 21 ST W. JE Dunn has been retained by the city to be the Construction Manager At-Risk and will begin construction on the PSC in the spring of 2014. The entire complex is estimated to be about 42,000 square feet, with an estimated price tag of $12 million dollars.
